Will Adashek is a cinematographer, lighting designer, and producer based in Los Angeles. He has designed the lighting for more than 150 theater shows and dance concerts, including An Oak Tree, Measure for Measure, As You Like It, Yellowman, Three Birds, Parallel Lives, Abuja Woman, One Flea Spare, The Food Chain, Metamorphoses, The Mercy Seat, and The Memory of Water. Recent musicals include Pippin, Into The Woods, Working, the European premieres of Rise Up and Anyone But Me, and the world premiere of Banyan for the AATC in San Francisco. His most recent film projects as cinematographer include The Hill, In Exile, the 35mm dance film Hometown Glory, and the 16mm short Santa Ana Winds, which was shot entirely at the Los Angeles International Airport and has played at various international film festivals this year. In addition to his work as a lighting designer and cinematographer, Will has worked as a producer or unit production manager on dozens of new plays, musicals, dance concerts, and films for various production companies around the world, including 20 world premiere productions at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. His 2010 Los Angeles production of An Oak Tree, for which he also designed the lighting, was described by the Los Angeles Times as "a master class in acting" and by Variety as a "celebration of pure theater's power...a fascinating must-see." An Oak Tree included performances by Peter Gallagher, Alan Cumming, Jason Alexander, and Alanis Morissette. Will produces theater through the Los Angeles-based Page One Productions, LLC, which he co-owns. Will is a rare native of Los Angeles. He holds a B.A. in economics and theater from Kenyon College and an M.F.A. from the American Film Institute.
